As a nod to Honeysuckle Farms, we used Mississippi's Cathead Honeysuckle Flavored Vodka.

How to Make It

Step 1

Process watermelon in a blender or food processor until smooth. Pour through a fine wire-mesh strainer into a large pitcher, using back of a spoon to squeeze out juice; discard solids.

Step 2

Stir vodka and next 2 ingredients into watermelon juice. Add ice, and top with soft drink; gently stir. Serve immediately.

Step 3

*Light rum or plain vodka may by substituted.

Everyone loved this at my Fourth of July party!  So different and refreshing in hot and humid weather, and something new instead of standard cocktails.  Would not make it without the Cathead Honeysuckle Vodka, that makes a huge difference.  I didn't add mint but will next time.  Delicious!

This cocktail is spot on and so refreshing for the summertime! It makes a world of difference using CATHEAD HONEYSUCKLE VODKA. Do not skimp on the proper ingredients light rum or plain vodka does not lend any honeysuckle flavor and aroma. I made this up in a big batch and served it for about 50 guests. Should have made it up for 500 guests the way everyone enjoyed this cocktail!
