How to Make It

Step 1

Combine first 6 ingredients; stir well. Slice bread in half lengthwise. Spread cheese mixture evenly over cut sides of bread.

Step 2

Broil 5 1/2 inches from heat (with electric oven door partially opened) for 5 minutes or until bread is lightly browned.

Chef's Notes

To have bread ready to bake, wrap one or both loaf halves in foil before broiling, and freeze them. Bake frozen loaf halves at 350º for 15 minutes.
