The classic lunchbox favorite PB&J gets a grilled makeover. Taking notes from the famous grilled cheese sandwich, the PB&J is gently toasted with butter to form a crispy, golden crust on the outside, with a warm and gooey inside. The peanut butter and jelly melt together beautifully, making this a revamped sandwich your new favorite way to enjoy a childhood treasure.

How to Make It

Step 1

Spread peanut butter evenly on one slice of bread; spread jelly on second slice. Put slices together to form a sandwich.

Step 2

Melt 1/2 tablespoon of the butter in a medium skillet over medium-low heat. Place sandwich in skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Remove sandwich from the skillet; add remaining 1/2  tablespoon butter and melt. Return sandwich to skillet, uncooked side down, and cook until golden brown and peanut butter melts, about 3 minutes. Enjoy immediately.
