To save prep time, use a bag of pretrimmed fresh green beans. You'll find them in the produce section.
1 pound green beans, trimmed
2 teaspoons butter
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth
How to Make It
Cook beans in boiling water 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain and set aside.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add walnuts and next 3 ingredients; cook 2 minutes or until nuts are toasted. Add broth; cook 2 minutes or until broth is reduced by half. Stir in green beans, tossing well to coat.
