Flavorful Gouda cheese and chicken broth take these easy grits to the next level.
Bring broth, milk, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to a boil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Gradually whisk in grits.
Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes or until thick, whisking often.
Remove from heat, and stir in cheese and butter, whisking until cheese melts.
