How to Make It

Step 1

Place tofu slices on several layers of paper towels; cover with additional paper towels. Let stand 5 minutes, pressing down occasionally. Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add tofu, and sauté 4 minutes. Turn slices over, and sprinkle with salt and pepper; sauté 4 minutes. Spoon Worcestershire sauce over tofu; cook 30 seconds or until browned, turning once.

Step 2

Combine mayonnaise, basil, and garlic. Spread mayonnaise mixture evenly over each of 4 bread slices, layering each slice with 2 tofu slices and 2 tomato slices. Cover with remaining bread slices.
