Add a little sweet and spice to your coffee or cocktail with this simple gingerbread syrup. Use it to make our Copycat Gingerbread Latte.
2 cups water
2 cups granulated sugar
3 cinnamon sticks
2 tablespoons finely grated peeled fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
How to Make It
Bring all ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan over high. Reduce heat to medium, and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat, and cool 30 minutes. Pour through a fine wire-mesh strainer into an airtight container; discard solids. Use immediately, or cover and store in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
