How to Make It

Step 1

Peel broccoli stems using a vegetable peeler. Combine broccoli and water in a large nonstick skillet; cover and cook over medium-high heat 6 minutes or until crisp-tender. Remove broccoli from pan; wipe pan with a paper towel.

Step 2

Melt butter in pan over medium heat. Add salt, pepper, and garlic; cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add broccoli, and toss to coat. Sprinkle broccoli mixture with rind; drizzle with lemon juice.

Easy. Made to recipe with a bit more garlic and served with CL's white wine marinated steak & smashed potatoes. The broccoli was a very good side.

This was delightful. Simple, light, bright, and a great way to do broccoli on the side of just about anything. I added a pinch of red pepper flakes just to kick it up. But otherwise, this maybe my new "Go To" broccoli recipe.

I have no idea what I did wrong, but this was not good. In my opinion the lemon did not go well with the other flavors, and I am a lemon lover. I won't make this again.
