After cutting the kernels from fresh corn, scrape the knife blade down each cob to get all the milky liquid.

After cutting the kernels from fresh corn, scrape the knife blade down each cob to get all the milky liquid.
A couple of tablespoons of bacon grease improves this greatly. I've also added diced bell peppers and/or diced fresh tomatoes at times with very good results. Love it! A great southern favorite.

This is a quick easy change from boiling sweet corn or cooking it on the grill. The addition of the sugar is gives the corn a "caramel" corn taste without being too sweet. Result: tastes awesome and is FAST to make!
