Try a new twist on the usual weeknight steak dinner. Pair with steamed veggies or a side of rice.

How to Make It

Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Combine espresso, brown sugar, and seasoning in a small bowl; rub mixture evenly over both sides of steaks. Add steaks to pan; cook 4 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness.

Super-easy & excellent. Doubled for 2lb of boneless strip steaks. Used instant espresso & McCormick's Mesquite seasoning. Followed SeriousEats tips on pan-searing. http://www.seriouseats.com/2012/12/the-food-lab-complete-guide-to-pan-seared-steaks.html . Served with CL's beet & orange salad. Great dinner.

Best steak recipe I have ever used. I have been making it for years now, every time we have company over.

These steaks were delicious. I broiled them for 6 mins each side then let them rest under foil for 6 mins and they were perfect. I paired with mashed sweet potatoes with smart balance, chicken broth, salt and pepper and balsamic roasted asparagus-found on this website (which I broiled 6min, turning once instead of roasting.) Everything paired really well and will definitely make again.
