My daughter picked this recipe and it was a hit with all 5 family members. We used Haddock and served it with corn on the cob and sauteed zuccini and summer squash. VERY quick - prep time less than 10 min. Would not hesitate to serve this at an informal dinner party.
Have made this recipe countless times but since I'm having it for dinner again tonight I thought I'd add my 2 cents. I'm using tilapia fillet so the cooking time is shorter. I usually stick to the recipe but have added dried thyme or oregano to the breadcrumbs which I usually use dried. Will serve this as an oven only meal with roasted sweet potato fries and roasted asparagus.
My family eats a lot of fish and we have become very picky. This recipe was so easy and I was so pleased at the wonderful results. I used panko and light butter to reduce the calories and fat. I also used cod. It was so delicious! I served with corn on the cob and a broccoli, mushrooms saute. I very low calorie, healthy dinner.
I prepared this for Mother's Day dinner. It was soooo easy and very very delicious. There was an audible "mmmmm" around the table as everyone took their first bite. 5 adults ate a little more than a pound and a half of tilapia in a short amount of time - I felt like I should've made more. I'll be serving this for family and friends again and again.
This is absolutely delicious. I served with a side of steamed cheesy rice & broccoli. I had tilapia so that's what I used, and I also had panko, which worked perfectly. I might add some cajun seasoning to the fish before the mayo coating next time to give it a little more kick. But following the recipe, it was still light and delish!!!
Used halibut and half panko/half seasoned breadcrumbs totalling 1/4 cup. Excellent & so incredibly easy. Served with steamed brocolli & oven roasted, skin-on red & yukon gold potato.
Easy, quick and delicious. I used panko with a light coating of cooking spray rather than drizzling with butter but otherwise stuck to the recipe. The flavors nicely complemented the cod and I will definitely make this again.
This recipe was very easy, quick to make, and delicious. Next time, I think I will double the sauce that is spread on the fish. Hubby thought it needed more sauce too! This recipe is a keeper.
A good way to bread and bake fillets but a bit blah. I would recommend adding something for more flavour next time.
Amazing and quick. Made a few modification based on what I had in the pantry. Used bottled lemon juice instead of lime (excellent). Also increased the onion powder. I only had Italian breadcrumbs, which I was worried about - but it tasted fantastic!! Also, lined the pan with tin foil for easy clean up. Fast and tasty!
I have prepared this dish many times - always to rave reviews. I use Duke's mayonnaise and squeeze lime juice from the green plastic bottle. One time I was out of onion powder so I substituted garlic powder with good results. I've also prepared it with several different types of mild fish. For easy cleanup, be sure to line your pan with aluminum foil. Easy ~ fast ~ delicious.
