I make this every year on Christmas Eve as a starter for our feast of the seven fishes.
Everyone loves it!
I have made this dip several times. It is not too spicy. Taking the seeds out of the tomatoes is a must, no shortcuts here. I have served it with a baguette and even a nice toasted garlic flavored cracker. I have used Frozen canned defrosted crab meat and it works fine.
Loved this crab dip but it more like a crab spread. I would make again and again!
I'd serve this to company. I used FF cream cheese, didn't add the cream and also omited the salt and pepper - pleasantly spiced. You have to buy good crab meat. I got mine at Costco.
I used 1 lb. of lumb crab not jumbo lump. The ratio of cream cheese to crab was way too much. No one had a second bite after the first one....
Best crab dip, I have ever had in my life. Very simple and easy, served with pita chips. I am going to try next time with salmon. Spice build perfect.
