Used the strawberries, but not syrup. The butter taste of the croissants, so good.I have used french bread, loaf bread, raisin bread, not this.Ummm
My family loved this! I also did not make the syrup, I used the pancake house strawberry syrup. I followed the directions and it was so easy to make. Its a keeper.
Made these this morning and loved it! I used soy milk and didn't use the Powdered Sugar, Whipped Cream, or Syrup. It was so sweet with the croissants, vanilla and strawberries combined that we just ate it how it was. I did add a bit of Honey on one and that was delicious, too! Wonderful Brunch Recipe! I made as directed except agreed with other uses about the syrup being too thin. The second time around I added a little bit of Strawberry Monin to the syrup and it turned out PERFECT!
Very good; although, I'm sure it's very high in fat & calories (using croissants alone) so this is something that I'd only indulge in once in a while.
This is incredible frech toast! Why didn't i ever think of using croissants before? I didn't make the strawberry syrup. Just served with organic maple syrup!! My whole family loved it!! We will make it often!
Made this for Mother's Day Brunch ,and will make it again for sure. It is easy and so delicious ,the warm syrup is to die for.Loved it.
The croissant french toast was very good, but I thought the strawberry syrup was anything but a "syrup." It turned out like something I'd serve on shortcake. The strawberry syrup needs to be thickened to turn this into a 5-star recipe
This is an outstanding french toast recipe. I have made this numerous times for family get togethers and it has been a hit each time. I would not change a thing including the syrup!! Will continue to keep in my recipes for future use.
This is better than any restaurant French Toast I've had, including 5 star hotels!! It's certainly wonderful for special occasions, but it's so good that it'd be a shame not to make it weekly. I didn't use any orange rind & it turned out just as good. Try making the Potato, Mushroom & Pesto Omelet for a sweet and solid balance.
