This is a lovely simple recipe which is respectful of the subtle flavour of sole. The combination of oil and butter allows me to taste the butter and crumb to toast without burning.
As to a previous comment “The lemon sole is a flatfish of the family Pleuronectidae. It is native to shallow seas around Northern Europe, where it lives on stony bottoms down to depths of about 200 metres. It grows up to 65 centimetres in length and reaches about 3 kilograms in weight. It is a popular food fish.”
Delicious crispy sole (I used sole instead of the fish known as lemon sole)
I want to know exactly where you fish for and catch lemon sole. If this recipe is calling for commercial pre-made / processed ingredients, it gets 0 stars.
