I've had these but it's called 'Toasted ravioli' at my favorite Italian restaurant for the past 45 years. One step you can eliminate is par-cooking the ravioli. Take the frozen rav and put it in a rectangular baking dish in a single layer. Cover with water (tap) and let sit for 10 minutes. And these are usually fried instead of baked to get a golden color that only comes from frying. Come to Waltham, MA and ask about our Italian restaurant that's been an institution since the 50's. I say 'our' as that everyone who grew up here claims it as the town's best. Generations of people grew up on it and now take their kids and grand-kids there.
I have tried a few baked ravioli recipes and this is the best! I added fresh shredded Parmesan and garlic powder to the Italian breadcrumbs. Have my husband on a low carb diet and this is perfect for our sunny day, after work happy hour dinner. Thanks for such a great recipe!
