  • Combine cranberries and water in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Cover and cook 10 minutes or until berries pop open. Strain mixture through very fine cheesecloth. Discard pulp.

  • Return strained juice to Dutch oven; add sugar, lemon juice, and cloves. Boil 5 minutes. Remove cloves, and discard. Chill juice thoroughly. Serve cold.
