Granola is a good source of soluble fiber, which can lower the risk of coronary heart disease.

How to Make It

Step 1

Combine first 6 ingredients, and press mixture evenly into an 8-inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray.

Step 2

Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until golden. Cool in pan on a wire rack 5 minutes, and cut into bars. Store in an airtight container.

Step 3

Note: For testing purposes only, we used Kellogg's Low-Fat Granola without Raisins.

I was a little worried that these would be dry, since there was so little liquid in the recipe...but they were so chewy and filling. I think adding almonds would be a great addition. The cranberries gave great bursts of tartness.
