How to Make It

Bring water, oats, and salt to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer 3 minutes. Remove from heat; cover and let stand 5 minutes. Stir in brown sugar and butter. Top with fresh fruit and nuts, if desired.
