You don't want to make this frosting ahead of time because it will dry out.

How to Make It

Step 1

Beat cheese and milk at high speed of a mixer until creamy. Add melted chocolate, and beat until well-blended.

Step 2

Combine sugar and cocoa; gradually add sugar mixture to cheese mixture, beating at low speed until well-blended. Add vanilla; beat well for 1 minute until very creamy.

This frosting is wonderful! This is a family favorite along with the CL Ultimate Chocolate Cake. Easy to throw together and is enjoyed by all. My mixer handles it fine, never a problem.

If you love dark chocolate, this frosting is great! Dense and full of chocolaty flavor. My mixer had hard time with the last stages of the process, but I finished everything by hand with no problems. It does dry out pretty fast - so the recipe's advice regarding not making this a day ahead needs to be headed.
