Skip the line at the coffee house and make this warm-up coffee drink all year round. The optional chocolate shavings make for a festive and fun presentation.
Combine liqueur and syrup in a microwave-safe dish; heat on HIGH for 30 seconds. Divide liqueur mixture among 8 mugs; add 1/4 cup espresso to each. Froth milk; pour about 1/4 cup milk into each mug. Top with ground cinnamon; garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.
This was absolutely excellent. I did not change the recipe at all aside from decreasing the amount from 8 servings to two. I did use dark chocolate liquor because that is what I keep in the house but I am sure any type would be delicious.
