Ready in 25 minutes and coming in at less than 300 calories, this spicy steak with Gorgonzola cheese sauce is a flavorful and filling meal.

How to Make It

Step 1

Preheat broiler to high.

Step 2

Combine first 3 ingredients. Sprinkle steak with chipotle mixture. Place on a broiler pan; broil 5 minutes on each side. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut thinly across grain.

Step 3

Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add shallots and garlic; cook 1 minute. Add flour; cook 30 seconds, stirring. Add milk; boil. Cook until reduced by half. Remove from heat; stir in cheese and remaining ingredients.

Both parts of this recipe were pretty yummy. As others have said, it's surprising the flank steak was so tender with no marinating. It was very good. The cheese sauce is also delicious. I just didn't see how the two things complemented each other. We had it was sweet potato mash and baked zucchini straws. The cheese sauce was great for the zucchini and the sweet potatoes were a nice contrast to the spicy rub.

I marinated the steak with the seasonings listed, some olive oil, and lime juice. Other then that did everything as listed, and it was really great. My husband LOVED this dish. I made it with roasted red potatoes and sauteed spinach. Really great.

This was a great recipe! It was simple and the flavor was outstanding. I wouldn't change anything. I served this with the risotto-stuffed tomatoes also from this site. Delish! My boyfriend said it was the best thing I've ever made. Thank you MYRECIPES.

This was really good. I was concerned that the flank steak might be tough since it was not marinated but it was fine. I doubled the sauce but didn't really need to since a little goes a long way as far as flavor goes. I substituted blue cheese since I already had it and it was a great compliment to the steak. We grilled the steak and served it with a baked sweet potato and asparagus.

Really good smoky flavor that paired well with the gorgonzola. I served cous cous on the side as suggested. Went well together! Came together as described, simple, and delicious.
