Serves 6 (serving size: 2/3 cup)

If you like your cabbage a little crisp and with a bite, serve up Chile-Garlic Cabbage. Feel free to substitute Sriracha sauce or another chili paste if you can't find sambal oelek.

How to Make It

Combine lime juice, brown sugar, fish sauce, and sambal oelek in a small bowl. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; swirl. Add cabbage to pan; cook 7 minutes or until lightly browned. Stir in brown sugar mixture; cook 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in cilantro.

Perfect Asian side dish for a burger

Delicious and cheap !   Used chili garlic sauce instead of sambal and  added some shredded green onions . I served it as a  sidedish  with  homemade teriyaki burgers . I think it would be great  on the burger as well . , sort of like a kimchi burger.   Also think it would be great over some rice noodles.

Excellent! I didn't have cilantro so left it out. Still was very good. Will make it many more times. Fast and easy.
