We added chopped raosted garlic and chopped up some celery leaves and mixed it with the parsley.
The red pepper flakes did add some heat, but not enough for the kiddos to complain.
It will be a regular rotation during the winter.
The nice thing about casseroles is that one can mix and match, throw out, throw in whatever and it still makes for a solid weeknight fare.
Got ingredients. Got directions. No nutrition info. Rating is for the post itself and lack of necessary information. It may be delicious but, I will never make it because I have no idea of carbs, fat, protein, ect.
Didn’t work for me.
Thank you, Anonymous
What Recipe???? Who puts out something like this with NO recipe. This is the second time I have seen this. Who does stupid things like this. Sounds like it might be good if directions were included!
I made this last night for my family. It was easy to make and tasty, but not "knock your socks off" good. I found the roasted chicken (in my case, from leg quarters) to be slightly odd given that chicken parmesan is usually made with skinless boneless breast.
You've had at least 3 1/2 months to fix this recipe & it's still not corrected? Yet you're featuring it in today's email??? You're clueless & should be ashamed of yourselves!!!
Although there aren't any written directions, I viewed the video that showed mixing the chicken, marinara, mozz, pasta and pepper flakes together. In a separate bowl mix the bread crumbs, parm, and parsley as well as the olive oil. Place the chicken mixture in greased pan, top with bread crumb mixture. Bake 30-35 mins at 375 and it is heavenly!!! We loved it! Super easy with rotisserie chicken. I didn't have panko so I used regular bread crumbs and it was fine. Panko would probably give a little more of a crunch. I highly recommend and I bet even kids would love it.
I haven't tried it yet but it looks perfect so I look forward to making it. That said I printed page 4 which is just the page from the person who wrote down the instructions.
The chicken Parmesan casserole looks good and sound just the dish I would to offer my friends, alas what a rip off signing up to your site, a number of recipe are a blank canvas, what is the point of suggesting and stating the ingredients without the instruction for prep and cooking, this is the same issue we had with your traditional Paella recipe, what a disgusting result, shame on you, and the hosting platform which promotes Myrecipe. say this I am unsubscribe and I suggest all the conned people who follow your site to cancel you subscription. I haven't made it yet, but will rate it after I try it. I can't believe all of the instructions aren't available. I watched the video and wrote them down in a simple format for anyone who wants/needs them.
Chicken Parmesan Casserole
Prep Time: 15 mins |
Cook Time: 50 mins |
Makes: Serves 8 to 10 |
• 4 cups marinara sauce
• 3 cups shredded rotisserie chicken (from 1 chicken)
• 8 ounces pre-shredded mozzarella cheese (about 2 cups)
• ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
• 1 cup panko (Japanese-style breadcrumbs)
• ¾ ounce Parmesan cheese, finely grated (about 1/2 cup)
• 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, optional
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• ½ teaspoon kosher salt
• ¼ teaspoon black pepper
• 12 ounces cooked ziti pasta (I like penne)
Preheat oven to 375°
Mix first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
Mix next 6 ingredients in another bowl.
Add cooked pasta to the first mixture, then top with second mixture. Bake in preheated oven until bubbly and topping is browned, about 35 minutes.
No instructions. Would love to try it, but “1-3” are missing.
This recipe is missing all of the prep steps before putting it in the oven to bake. Could this be fixed please? If it is, I will change my rating.
