I haven't made it yet, but will rate it after I try it. I can't believe all of the instructions aren't available. I watched the video and wrote them down in a simple format for anyone who wants/needs them.
Chicken Parmesan Casserole
Prep Time: 15 mins |
Cook Time: 50 mins |
Makes: Serves 8 to 10 |
• 4 cups marinara sauce
• 3 cups shredded rotisserie chicken (from 1 chicken)
• 8 ounces pre-shredded mozzarella cheese (about 2 cups)
• ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
• 1 cup panko (Japanese-style breadcrumbs)
• ¾ ounce Parmesan cheese, finely grated (about 1/2 cup)
• 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, optional
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• ½ teaspoon kosher salt
• ¼ teaspoon black pepper
• 12 ounces cooked ziti pasta (I like penne)
Preheat oven to 375°
Mix first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
Mix next 6 ingredients in another bowl.
Add cooked pasta to the first mixture, then top with second mixture. Bake in preheated oven until bubbly and topping is browned, about 35 minutes.
