Sprinkle steaks with pepper; set aside. Combine egg and water, mixing well. Dredge steak in flour, and dip in egg mixture. Dredge again in flour.
Heat 1/2 inch of oil to 350°; add steak, and fry 10 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Drain steak on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt before serving.
