Prepared gnocchi doesn't require boiling; it can go right in the pan.

How to Make It

Step 1

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add chicken; cook 5 minutes or until browned. Place chicken in a bowl.

Step 2

Heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil in pan over medium. Add squash and onion; cook 8 minutes. Add squash mixture to chicken. Add gnocchi to pan; cook 2 minutes. Add chicken mixture, stock, pesto, sage, garlic, and spinach to pan; cook 1 minute. Top with cheese.

Absolutely delicious.  But I went to 2 markets (Safeway and New Seasons) and no whole wheat gnocchi.  I also agree with the previous reviewer that everything needed more cooking time.  Especially the butternut squash.  But the flavors are incredible and it is very easy to prepare.  Definitely a keeper.

The cooking times were about half of what I used since I don't like to eat raw chicken. Otherwise it came together just as the recipe describes.
