How to Make It

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. 

Step 2

Pour hash browns into a lightly-greased 9x13 inch baking dish. In a large bowl, combine the cheese, sour cream and soup.

Step 3

In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the onion with 1 stick butter and sauté for 5 minutes. Add to the soup mixture and spread over the potatoes in the dish.

Step 4

Arrange the crushed corn flakes over the potatoes and soup mixture. Melt the remaining stick of butter and pour evenly over the corn flakes.

Step 5

Bake at 425 degrees F for 1 hour.

Easy and Delicious

This is delicious. However, it calls for 1 stick of butter. But the directions say to use 1 stick to saute the onions and 1 stick for the cornflakes. Please fix the ingredients.

Actually it calls for one cup of stick for onions and one stick for cornflakes = one cupI can see you now saying...DUH!  I knew that!!!
