This is awesome have made it many times. Made it yesterday, didn't have any peas so used chopped seeded English cucumber and liked it even better, also used only 1 cup of cherries. Love it.
Wow! Who knew this list of ingredients would taste so good together! Real synergy! Great crunch, and a delicious tang! I used cranberries, omitted the peas, and added a little red onion. The only thing is I wish I made more of it! Oh - I was tempted to add a little sugar, but I am glad I didn't. The cranberries added sweetness. Glad I found this one!
Fabulous salad! I used all light mayonnaise (no yogurt) and I cut cherries in half. Chill salad for several hours in a glass bowl (not tupperware) so it gets icy-cold.
Celery isn't my favorite recipe, but this salad made it quite good indeed. I loved the contrast in texture from the crisp celery to the soft dried cherries/peas. I would add more pecans, which I felt got short shrift!
Amazingly fresh salad with a excellent crunchy texture. Perfect for a fall dinner with guests. Goes great with roasted turkey and cranberry sauce.
Excellent, Waldorf-style salad, with a cool, fresh taste and many textures--a real guy pleaser. We had it with grilled bluefish and a bulgur pilaf, but it would go well with many things. My celery was huge and tough and this recipe transformed it into something wonderful.
Made this for Father's Day dinner. Fabulous! I doubled recipe to serve 4. Next time, I will use less mayo and yogurt to keep the dressing lighter. In doubling the dressing, it looked slathered up a bit. But, still delicious! Good for special days; and so simple, it's great for everyday.
