Try a unique twist on the classic hummus recipe. The addition of brown sugar and carrots gives Carrot Hummus with Cumin and Almonds a slightly sweet taste.

How to Make It

Simmer 1 cup chopped carrots in a saucepan of water for 30 minutes or until tender; drain. Add carrots, olive oil, salt, cumin, brown sugar, and black pepper to food processor with Easy Hummus; process until smooth. Top hummus with almonds, shredded carrot, parsley, and paprika.

I made this without the toppings. I also substituted curry powder for the cumin.   Other than that I made exact.   I think this is great tasting healthy hummus.   I will make again.
