Prepare Fresh Apple Cake batter, and bake as directed. Cool on a wire rack 10 minutes. Omit frosting. Spread Caramel Glaze over cake, and cool 30 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup pecans. Spoon this super-moist cake out of the pan, cobbler-style, and serve with ice cream.
I had my doubts when I put it in the oven. The batter was thick and there were a lot of apples showing. It looked like it was going to be dry. But it was delicious! My daughter took a bite and said "This is my next birthday cake!"
My family loved it!! And it took a lot less time to make than stated. We only put pecans on half, but it was just as good with as it was without. And the ice cream was ready to scoop up as soon as the hot caramel was poured over the hot cake. Definitely a keeper!
