Sweet, crunchy apple and broccoli create a refreshing, light side dish. Prepare this salad up to eight hours in advance for best flavor and texture.

How to Make It

Step 1

Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring well with a whisk.

Step 2

Coarsely chop broccoli into 1 1/2-inch pieces, and place in bowl with vinegar mixture. Add chopped apple and minced onion, tossing to coat.

Add bacon and raisins for an even better salad.  Quick tip:  Use bottled cole slaw dressing.

Very tasty. First time making it; definitely will be making it again. I added a couple small handfuls of raisins and topped each serving with some toasted, crushed walnuts. It was delicious. Definitely a keeper.

Love the dressing for this salad. Added pasta, red grapes, and sunflower kernels. This holds up well for a summer barbeque. It's definitely worthy of a special occasion.
