  • Pour milk over cereal in a small mixing bowl; stir to blend. Let stand 5 minutes.

  • Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.

  • Make a well in center of flour mixture. Add cereal, egg, and butter; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.

  • Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 425° for 25 minutes. Remove from pans immediately.
