I used Jack Daniels and whole-grain dijon because it was what we had on hand - this was really tasty! I used a little extra dijon for a bit more tang, and re-basted at the end as suggested.
I only gave it three stars cause it is exactly that, a GOOD solid recipe for weeknights. Really tasty, very subtle. I did make a little extra sauce to rebaste. It was a hit with the hubby
I was disappointed in this recipe. Although, the chicken was moist, the sauce was not very flavorful once i grilled the chicken. Perhaps, I should have made extra sauce, so that i could re-baste for the final minute?
Very good. The maple syrup caramelizes nicely on the grill, giving a slightly-sweet toasty flavor, offset by the sharpness of the Dijon and rounded out by the bourbon.
