Ingredients: 3 cups crushed vanilla wafers; 1 cup finely chopped pecans; 1 cup powdered sugar; 1 ½ tablespoons cocoa powder; 2 tablespoons corn syrup; ½ cup bourbon; Powdered sugar

These rich bourbon balls are a festive holiday dessert. The bourbon flavor gets mellower with time, so make these at least one week ahead.

Step 1
Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir in corn syrup and bourbon. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar. Store in an airtight container.

I've been making these cookies for probably over 20 years as it was in an 1970s S/L cookbook and it's wow'd everyone I've given them to. Used to make for cookie exchanges at work and they all wanted the recipe....I've never found a better bourbon ball recipe. I have used my food processor to mix everything..so easy!

I make these Bourbon Balls every year for the Holidays and they are always a big hit. You can always use Rum or Whiskey insted of Bourbon all depends what you like.
