How to Make It

Step 1

Spread almonds in a pieplate, and microwave, uncovered, at HIGH 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly toasted, stirring after every minute. Set aside.

Step 2

Beat cream cheese at medium speed of an electric mixer until creamy. Add sour cream, blue cheese, and honey, beating until smooth. Serve immediately or cover and chill, if desired.

Step 3

Core pears; cut each into 10 wedges. Brush cut sides of pears with lemon juice. Spoon 1 teaspoon blue cheese mixture onto each pear wedge; top evenly with almonds.

Chef's Notes

For variety, serve the blue cheese mixture on endive leaves, and sprinkle with almonds. Or use it as a sandwich topping on turkey burgers. The blue cheese mixture is 20 calories per tablespoon.
