Grilled steak is a favorite summer dish. Serve with grilled corn with lime butter and a simple salad of field greens and cherry tomatoes.

How to Make It

Step 1

Combine first 7 ingredients; rub spice mixture over both sides of steak. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours.

Step 2

Prepare grill.

Step 3

Place steak on grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 5 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Let stand 10 minutes. Cut steak diagonally across the grain into thin slices.

love, Love, LOVE this recipe! Simple, yet full of flavor! I served this last winter with a hashbrown casserole. ...an awesome spin on your ordinary meat and potatoes! I pan fried my steak, five minutes on each side and it turned out beautiful :)

This recipe had a lot of flavor, but I thought the cumin was a little much. Next time I might add more garlic and less cumin. Also, I might try this recipe for the beef filling of fajitas. I think it might compliment other items that go along with fajitas such as the onions, sour cream, and cheese rather than the meat alone.

After reading the reviews I had high hopes for this recipe, however I found it to be just okay. I'm not sure I would make it again just because there are so many other recipes on this site that are better.

I made this for my supper club tonight and it got great reviews. It was very easy and I already had all of the spices in my pantry. The only change that I made was to cook it under the broiler instead of grill it. I will make this over and over again.
