Is there anything better than a fresh peach cobbler topped with ice cream? Best make that call after you taste this one with blackberries and our Mascarpone Cream.

How to Make It

Step 1

Prepare Streusel: Stir together first 3 ingredients in a large bowl; add flour and pecans, and stir until blended. Let stand 20 minutes or until mixture is firm enough to crumble into small pieces.

Step 2

Meanwhile, prepare Filling: Preheat oven to 375°. Stir together peaches and next 3 ingredients in a large saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium, and boil, stirring occasionally, 6 to 7 minutes or until juices have thickened. Remove from heat, and stir in blackberries. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 9-inch square baking dish. Crumble streusel over hot peach mixture.

Step 3

Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.

I've made this 2 times and both times I thought there was no liquid in the peach mix to let it come to a boil! Either I had really dry fresh peaches or I missed something in the recipe. However, we couldn't eat it fast enough!!

Made this last night for dessert and I must say it has gained a place in the front of my recipe file.  As a lover of fruit cobblers, I found the combination of peaches and blackberries delicious, and the praline topping was so good without using the usual oats, which I personally do not care for,  but still crisp and crunchy.  This was a big hit with my family, especially with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.  I plan to serve it the next time I have company or take a covered dish to church.  So good!

Wow! I've made this for 3 gatherings, and people go nuts over it. Must serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Very easy.

This was a hit with my family! I only had 1 cup of blackberries so used 1 cup of blueberries in addition to the blackberries. Also used homemade whipped cream instead of the mascarpone cream.

Oh my! So delish! I cut the butter back to 6 tablespoons rather than 8 to lighten it up a little. It was fine. I didn't have pecans so I subbed sliced almonds and it added a nice crunch. My husband and I loved it! When the kids get home, they'll get to test it too.

I made this for breakfast at work to rave reviews. I used salted butter and omitted the 1/8th called for, substituted rolled oats for the pecans (1:1) because of a nut allergy, and reduced the sugar by half (used 1/4 cup). The streusel is great for a morning start, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it for dessert either. This one is definitely going in my cobbler repetoire!
