Beat butter and shortening at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating well.

Beat egg whites at high speed with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form; fold about one-third of egg whites into batter. Gradually fold in remaining egg whites.
I just put the cake in the oven. It does sound good just from reading the ingredients but am trying to figure out the oven temp which am assuming is 350 F as other cakes and i will watch it carefully since i don't know for how long it should bake. By the way i used 3 round pans, nothing was specified in the recipe when it comes to oven temp, pans or baking time but am sure it will be good.
