Stirring the strawberries into the warm syrup at the end helps them keep their shape. Serve over low-fat frozen yogurt or ice cream.

How to Make It

Combine the first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat; cook 2 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in sliced strawberries, and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.

I love this recipe, I've made it many times. The flavor is amazing, sweet, tangy, and tart all at the same time! Love it! Great over ice cream, cake, pancakes, yogurt or all by itself!
