Time: 20 minutes. This salad is all about bold contrasts: crisp pears and pecans with tender frisée, and maple syrup with sharp blue cheese.

How to Make It

Step 1

Whisk together first 5 ingredients. In a large serving bowl, combine frisée, pears, and pecans. Drizzle dressing over salad and toss well to coat. Sprinkle cheese on top and give another quick toss.

Delicious! I used mixed greens instead of frisee. Served it to my book group for lunch. Everyone loved it and several asked for the recipe. Made it again tonight and used Oregon hazelnuts instead of the pecans, and the mixed greens again. Was very good with grilled steak.
