Becky Luigart-Stayner; Jan Gautro
Yield
4 servings (serving size: 1 fillet and about 2 teaspoons sauce)

Although it contains only 4 ingredients, this marinade packs a lot of flavor.

How to Make It

Step 1

Combine first 4 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag; add fish to bag. Seal and marinate in refrigerator 20 minutes, turning once. Remove fish from bag, and reserve marinade.

Step 2

Heat a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Add fish to pan; cook 4 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Remove fish from pan. Add marinade to pan; bring to a boil. Cook 30 seconds; serve with fish.

The marinade went well with the bass, but not over the noodles --sweet sauced noodles?!

I mark this worthy of a special occasion because it is often my surf paired with turf for dinner parties. I do not make the noodles. I have used regular and sea bass. I love that it is easy. I do sometimes plan to make it and forget to buy cilantro. It has a slightly different flavor, but is still good.
