We don't care if it's "carby". We don't care if "fried" is in it's name. We love fried rice, and we don't care who knows it—Because we know you're secretly obsessed with it too. Whether it comes from a takeout box, hibachi grill, or our own kitchen, it's the ultimate Asian-inspired comfort food. And these recipes prove there's no need to leave the house when a craving calls. Top it with anything from tangy sauce to ham, and enjoy.

Beef Crumble Fried Rice Recipe

This family favorite only takes half an hour to make. High heat and cornstarch make the beef extra crispy, and the soy sauce and red pepper add flavor to the dish. If you wanted to bulk the meal up a little bit, consider adding a vegetable like spinach.

Sheet Pan Fried Rice Recipe

Top fried rice with rich, runny egg yolk and creamy Sriracha mayo for added texture and flavor. You don't need a wok for perfectly cooked fried rice, simply preheat a sheet pan, add oil, and use day-old or microwavable rice. Make sure the rice kernels are separate so that they are evenly toasted and won't glob together. Serve this dish along with mongolian beef, orange chicken, crab rangoons, or spring rolls.

Spicy Crab Fried Rice Recipe

Daydreaming yielded this idea for a hybrid between fried rice and a sushi-joint hand roll. It turns out that making fried rice from short-grain, sushi-style rice is fantastic, as it stands up to agitation quite well and lends an almost meaty quality to the final dish.

Fried Rice with Broccoli and Eggs Recipe

Stir-frying rice is a great way to turn leftover rice into a quick and easy meal. It's important that the rice is cold so it won't become sticky while cooking; the oil coats the chilled grains and prevents clumping.

Pork-and-Pineapple Fried Rice Recipe

Most restaurants make pork fried rice with generic pieces of barbecued meat; Andrew Carmellini uses both seared ground pork and sweet, aromatic Chinese sausage in his playful version. As an alternative to Chinese sausage–which is now available at many Costco stores–substitute thick matchsticks of lean maple-cured bacon.
