Yesterday was a tough day for the United States. We can’t lose our pride yet, but we can eat our feelings, so why not combine the both especially because Friday is the 4th of July. Strike the match, light the fireworks, and let’s celebrate the 4th and how far our country came in the World Cup 2014.

Blueberry Salsa

Blueberry Salsa

If you want to get festive, drizzle this sweet and spicy Blueberry Salsa over your grilled meats and fish recipes. With a combination of blueberries, red peppers, red onion, and spicy jalapeños, you’ll want to dip your chips right in too. After all, we can all eat a bag of chips sometimes, especially when we’re mourning a World Cup soccer loss.

Lemon Berrymisu

Lemon Berrymisu

Don’t eat that entire bag of chips though; you’ll want to save room for this decadent Lemon Berrymisu that is almost too good to be true. With the perfect combination of sweet summer berries, tart lemon liqueur, fluffy whipped cream, creamy mascarpone cheese, and soft ladyfingers, you will instantly feel better and incredibly patriotic. And the best part is that this tiramisu-like dessert comes together in just 30 minutes! Serve with a classic homemade Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Enjoy, and happy 4th of July!

Stay tuned for more global dishes next week honoring the World Cup 2014.
