These Trader Joe's Tikka Masala Burritos Are Almost Too Convenient
Fusion at its finest.
If you haven’t heard, Trader Joe’s quietly dropped a YouTube channel last month. The grocery store chain uses the platform to give behind-the-scenes looks into how your favorite frozen foods and pantry staples are made, promote the Inside Trader Joe’s podcast, and share unique new recipes that utilize TJ’s products.
One such recipe, for Tikka Masala Burritos, is peak Trader Joe’s: It’s flavorful, it’s fun, and it’s crazy convenient.
This recipe cuts down on time and cost by using TJ’s own frozen Chicken Tikka Masala—which features chunks of roasted chicken served in a creamy, mildly spicy, tomato-based, curry flavored sauce—instead of calling for you to make the burrito base from scratch. The Indian-inspired dish is frequently featured in Trader Joe’s Customer Choice Awards winners circle, so you know it’s good.
All you have to do is heat up the tikka masala in the microwave, add a few extras of your choice (like cilantro, yogurt, peas, and chutney), wrap the whole thing in a tortilla shell, and you’re good to go.
