Stroopwafels are definitely having a moment right now, and Trader Joe’s is the latest to hop on the Dutch dessert train.

The grocery store chain, which already carries mega-delicious stroopwafel cookies, is now selling Stroopwafel Ice Cream Sandwiches.

According to the box, they’re caramel waffle cookies filled with salted caramel ice cream.

That sounds almost too delicious. Is that even legal?

Delish spotted the new item on @candyhunting’s Instagram account. The junk food blogger apparently picked it up in Illinois.

The Stroopwafel, a staple in the Netherlands, is quickly gaining popularity around the world--and it’s not hard to see why: It’s essentially a crispy waffle cookie, split in half and then glued back together with caramel syrup filling. The stiff dough is made from flour, butter, brown sugar, yeast, milk, and eggs. The warm filling, meanwhile, is made from syrup, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon.

We’ve reached out to Trader Joe’s for more information about this new product and its availability, and we’ll update you as soon as we hear back.
