Calling all Cinnamon Toast Crunch fanatics.
We tried Starbucks’ brand new Cinnamon Shortbread Latte and one thing’s for certain: This is one aptly named beverage.
Unlike some of the chain’s other popular lattes (*cough* PSL *cough*), this tastes exactly like what you’d expect.
Starbucks describes it as a “rich espresso with buttery vanilla shortbread sauce, topped with a dusting of cinnamon and nutmeg.” If that sounds like something you’d like, this is the latte for you.
But let me be clear: If you’re not a cinnamon fanatic, you’re probably not going to like this. This latte is about as cinnamon-y as a thing can be. Also, fair warning: This is incredibly sweet.

Most of us thought it was a bit too sweet, in fact.
“It’s better than other flavored coffee drinks I’ve had, but this still leaves an oddly sweet aftertaste. Not a fan,” said one unimpressed tester.
Others commented that they liked the flavor, but they couldn’t drink an entire cup.
I had an entirely different take, though: As someone who absolutely loves cinnamon, I think this latte is amazing. I’d go so far as to say it’s better than Starbucks’ Cinnamon Dolce Latte, my previous favorite.
What most people hated about the new release, I really liked.
Another tester said it “tastes like the last dregs of milk at the bottom of a cereal bowl” and I completely agree—but I love it.
If, like me, you enjoy every last drop of your bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, this is going to be your new go-to Starbucks order.
