We Tried Shake Shack's New Chick'n Bites—Here’s What We Thought
Are they really that much like Chick-fil-A nuggets?
On the surface, yes, the nuggets do bear a striking resemblance:
Shake Shack / Chick-fil-A
We can't help but love a good Chick-fil-A nugget here at MyRecipes, so we decided to put the chicken to a test. Yes, they look alike. But how similar are they really? Turns out, Shake Shack and Chick-fil-A nuggets have nothing in common besides their shape and the appearance of their breaded exteriors.
Shake Shack’s Chick’n Bites are crunchy on the outside, but are slightly strange and spongy on the inside. The chicken itself was slightly bland, but the breading was a touch too salty.
The bites weren’t bad, per se, but they’re certainly nothing to write home about.
Chick-fil-A, on the other hand, remains as divine as ever. The outer and inner layers blend together more seamlessly than Shake Shack’s version and each nugget is perfectly flavored with a mixture of salt, sugar, and pickle juice.

Listen, we’re not saying you shouldn’t try Shake Shack’s Chick’n Bites. As far as chicken nuggets go, they’re just fine.
For a limited time, Shake Shack is offering 6-piece orders for $4 and 10-piece orders for $6.
Just don’t compare them to Chick-fil-A—because, really, there is no comparison.
