Sam's Club's New Pizza Is a Beautiful, Cheesy Nightmare
We aren’t sure how to feel.
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter once sang “You can be a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare,” and that’s the exact sentiment I felt when I laid my eyes upon Sam’s Club’s newest creation.
What we have here is a flatbread topped with two types of cheese, elbow macaroni, cheddar cheese sauce, and some bacon, for good measure. If that pizza with chicken bites on top didn’t get you, maybe this will. Sure, the mashup sounds tasty, but doesn’t it also like we’ve taken things too far? Is this an homage to penne alla vodka pizza or Cici’s?
“This fusion of macaroni and cheese and flatbread pizza crust is the stuff dreams are made of,” the product description reads. But it doesn’t take much for a dream take a terrifying turn. In this case, it’s lots and lots of cheese. Funny enough, we have a recipe for a Mac and Cheese Crusted Pizza, this thing’s inverse, but at least that involves a relatively reasonable amount of dairy.
So many frankenfoods have graced the internet that it takes something shocking or somewhat genius to stand out. Somehow the Mac ‘N Cheese Flatbread Pizza does both. Each box packs in two cursed pizzas—Sam’s Club has prepared for trouble and made it double—and will set Sam’s Club members back $9.98. If that’s not enough to convince you, this flatbread won’t be around long, so whether you’re looking for cheese or adrenaline, you’re gonna want to go ahead and grab a box.
