You can only win them through a contest, however.

There are a lot of different Oreo flavors out there. Maybe too many, in fact. Pretty much every conceivable combo of creme and cookie seems to have been sold at some point, with almost all of them serving little purpose beyond satisfying a certain niche interest in a particular flavor.

Now, however, Oreo has introduced a new limited edition set of cookies made with a purpose: celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

That’s the story behind the recent launch of Rainbow Oreo Cookies, out just in time for LGBTQ+ History Month. Fittingly, these rare Oreos swap out the usual white creme for the seven bright, brilliant covers of the Pride flag. The special offering is a product of a new partnership with PFLAG National, an organization working on behalf of members of the LGBTQ+ community, their parents, family members, and allies.

Limited to just 10,000 packages, they’ll be given out to Oreo fans to celebrate acts of allyship. To enter, all one has to do is post a photo to Twitter or Instagram that sums up what allyship with the LGBTQ+ community means to them, tagging Oreo and using the hashtags #Giveaway and #ProudParent to participate. As part of the campaign, Oreo released a short film called #ProudParent that gets to the heart of how important love and support can be within families.

Because society is what it is, a gesture like this will naturally irk some who may have a problem with the idea of love and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community. Rather than making a whole big deal about it, the good news is that they can simply go about their business and not enter the contest to win these rainbow Oreos if they happen to disagree with the message. It’s that simple!

For everyone who supports what Oreo and PLFAG’s efforts are about, the contest will run through October 31st, or until all 10,000 sets of Pride flag-inspired Oreos have been given away. May the most supportive allies win.
