A Pokémon Pop-Up Is Coming to New York This November
Gotta taste ‘em all!
Looking for a chance to step into the Pokémon universe? Then you’d best head to New York.
Over a series of Sundays in November, immersive experience company Viral Ventures and Williamsburg biergarten Radegast Hall will host a Pokémon-themed pop-up bar complete with Pokémon burgers, themed drinks, and contests, Delish reports. (Is it tied to the release of Pokemon: Sword and Shield, or is it just another nostalgia-fueled cash grab? The world may never know.)
“ALL TICKETS INCLUDE A POKEMON INSPIRED BURGER, ONE THEMED DRINK AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO WIN LOTS OF PRIZES!” the event description reads.
“DRINK OPTIONS: A POKEMON INSPIRED COCKTAIL, BEER, WINE, OR NON-ALCOHOLIC OPTION (NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINK PURCHASES GET EXTRA DRINK)”
Viral Ventures calls the event an “experiental version of the game” complete with DJs and opportunities for prizes, including trivia and a costume contest. Tickets are available through Eventbrite for $55, but I’m just gonna let you know now, you should account for at least $11 in fees.
Depending on the day and time you’d like to attend, tickets are at least available for the next few weeks. For example, ticket sales for the 4-6 slot on November 3 are open until July 19, while November 24’s 1:30-3:30 slot’s sales last until September 13. That is, of course, assuming everything doesn’t sell out, being tickets are limited.
And if you can’t get to New York this November, don’t fret. The pop-up’s been making its way around North America and is coming to other cities, including Pittsburgh, Miami, and Los Angeles, although further details, like official dates, have yet to be determined for every event.
