Taco Tuesday has quite the competition this month, because October 4 (a Thursday, in fact) is National Taco Day. Honestly, tacos are a big deal around here. Last year Americans ate over 4.5 billion tacos, which for those of you who appreciate a visual, is nearly 490,000 miles of tacos. Point Being: This is definitely a food holiday to celebrate.

In honor of National Taco Day, Old El Paso dug into the most popular and unique taco recipes that represent each state, based on top searches on BettyCrocker.com. Using this data, we collected our favorite taco-inspired recipes for every state, so you can cook your way through America while throwing the best taco party ever.
